Trump makes awkward mom joke as he slams hecklers during rally
President Donald Trump returned to the campaign trail on Wednesday, October 7, endorsing Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton at Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas. His rally was disrupted when at least half a dozen demonstrators began heckling and were escorted out by police. The report says a protester was physically assaulted by an older Trump supporter as he tried to leave the arena, while larger crowds outside held signs including “ICE out of San Antonio” and “Trump is the WORST President EVER,” chanting “Donald Trump, go back home, San Antonio is ours alone.” Trump joked about hecklers, made comments about protesters’ appearances, and later mocked Paxton’s Democratic opponent James Talarico over alleged veganism, while also referencing his wife Melania’s pronunciation of “vegan.”
