Trump repeatedly heckled and interrupted during erratic midterm rally speech
Donald Trump faced repeated interruptions during a rambling, erratic rally speech in Florida, his home state, as he tried to boost turnout with three days remaining until the midterm elections. The former president visited Daytona Beach to energize supporters ahead of Tuesday’s key Congressional and gubernatorial races, but security and local police removed at least seven protesters after the speech was heckled six times. The address offered little policy detail, filling about two hours instead with personal attacks, including remarks about Democratic targets such as Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El Sayed and Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, along with an unexpected reference to actor Robert De Niro. Trump, 80, also said canceled rallies in Kansas and Iowa were reinstated following questions about President health. He later referenced plans to travel Sunday.
