Vancouver Whitecaps acquire Guinean forward Yadaly Diaby

Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced Tuesday that it has acquired Guinean forward Yadaly Diaby from French Ligue 2 club Grenoble Foot 38. The 26-year-old is contracted through the 2029-30 MLS season, with an option for 2030-31. Diaby has recorded 30 goals and 12 assists across 158 professional matches in France and Austria. Born in France, he has scored once in 11 appearances for Guinea since making his debut in 2023. Whitecaps sporting director Axel Schuster described him as a versatile forward who can link play, attack space behind the defense, play on the wing, and contribute in set pieces.
