Want a pitch to hit': Sweet-swinging prospect Hill leads next wave of Guards talent in AFL

Luke Hill has reshaped his swing to break through the next tier of Cleveland’s prospect pipeline, and the results landed him in Arizona’s Arizona Fall League. After a cold start with High-A Midwest League’s winter-chill conditions—going 0-for-10—he slumped to .176 with two extra-base hits. Hill says he scaled back and made a small sight adjustment to hit the way he did in high school, then “clicked” and never looked back. He homered twice in his first May game and won Player of the Month honors. Overall, he hit .275/.391/.536 with a right oblique injury later limiting him to 150 plate appearances for Double-A Akron.
