Aamir Khan Tears Up About His Family, Shares Updates on '3 Idiots 2,' 'Andaz Apna Apna 2' at Singapore Film Fest
Aamir Khan broke down onstage at the Singapore International Film Festival, saying COVID-19 lockdown reflection made him realize that three decades of nonstop work had cost him years with his family. The Bollywood star received the festival’s Screen Icon Award from Hong Kong director Peter Chan Ho-sun and, during an in-conversation session moderated by Singapore comedian Rishi Budhrani, discussed his shift in priorities over the past four years. Khan said the moment pushed him to deliberately carve out time for family and close friends, noting he’s relieved he acted at 56 rather than waiting until 86. He also offered cautious updates on “3 Idiots 2” and “Andaz Apna Apna 2,” saying Rajkumar Hirani is working on the “3 Idiots” script and Raj Santoshi is working on something for the sequel.
