Air Canada Launched Premium Economy Basic & Business Class Basic

Air Canada has added two new BASIC fare classes covering Premium Economy and Business, both designed to keep prices lower while limiting some paid features. The fares include checked baggage, but passengers must pay in advance to select seats. Elite members can’t use eUpgrades on Basic fares. The BASIC options are available for travel in the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, and South America, plus Air Canada’s transatlantic Joint Venture markets (excluding Iran, Israel, and the UAE), alongside United Airlines and the Lufthansa Group. Aeroplan members earn 1 mile per $1, and elites earn 2–6 miles per CAD, with 4 SQCs per CAD.
