xCruzo Brief
Argentina’s number of registered employer companies has been shrinking for almost three years. Fundar, a think tank, counted 481,015 registered employer companies in June 2026—31,342 fewer than in November 2023, a 6.1% drop. The metric comes from the national work-risk regulator, capturing firms that employ at least one registered worker, not sole proprietors or informal businesses. Over the past twelve months, the register lost 16,386 firms (down 3.3%). Hospitality and food services fell the most, while oil and mining rose 8.47% and electricity and gas grew 4.97%.
