Atlético CEO gives update on move for Fred

Atlético’s only clear path would be if Fred terminates his contract with Fenerbahçe, after which the club would reassess options. Daniel noted that the situation depends mainly on Fenerbahçe, while changes in the number of allowed foreign players in Turkey could affect the outcome. Fred returned to the Turkish club at the end of June, and Atlético continues monitoring closely. If no termination occurs this window, Fred could sign a pre-contract from the end of the year. Last season, he played 45 matches, scoring four goals and providing five assists.
