Bitcoin Bear Market Over? Not Quite. Analyst Says $83,000 Is The Real Test
Bitcoin’s rise above $65,000 is prompting renewed debate on whether the bear market has ended, but analyst Jason Pizzino says the real test is higher. On July 22, in a podcast episode, Pizzino said BTC is currently retesting the prior high near $67,260 after forming a yearly low close to $57,000 around July 1. He noted the market’s structure improved in late June and early July, when Bitcoin rebounded despite broader crypto negativity. While August has historically been weak and could allow BTC to revisit lower levels, Pizzino stressed that it may still fit a longer-term bottoming process. He pointed to $71,000 as an important macro 50% retracement level tied to the 200-day moving average, and said a move above $83,000 could confirm a major trend shift.
