Bitcoin Will Become Almost Impossible to Secure in Advanced AI Era, Says Security Researcher: 'Much Harde

A security researcher, Roman Yampolskiy, warned Monday that advanced AI could make Bitcoin increasingly hard to secure. In an interview with entrepreneur Anthony Pompliano, Yampolskiy argued that AI systems could become “really amazing hackers,” particularly through social engineering. He said average users may struggle to verify whether communications and media—such as fake videos, audio, or messages from people “you know”—are legitimate or deepfakes, making scams harder to detect. Yampolskiy, professor of computer science at the University of Louisville, also suggested sophisticated AI could monitor and track internet activity, further raising risk.
