Bitcoin Will See New Highs in 2026, $1 Million by 2030, Bitwise Exec Predicts - AOL
Bitcoin surged to about $79,000 after hotter-than-expected inflation data, but it still sits roughly 38% below its October 2025 peak of $126,198. Bitwise executive Ryan Rasmussen says the market could break its traditional four-year cycle and post new all-time highs in 2026. He points to improving fund flows, corporate treasury purchases and a potential fourth-quarter rally. Bitwise also forecast that spot ETFs would buy more than 100% of new Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana supply. Rasmussen links Bitcoin’s 2026 weakness to higher oil prices, shifting rate expectations, competition for capital from AI stocks and heavy ETF redemptions in summer, followed by a rebound. The next test is whether August inflows persist as Bitcoin nears its prior record.
