Chairman Chey Tae-won Sells Shares in Divorce Asset Division

Chairman Chey Tae-won announced on the 2nd that he will sell about 1.65 million shares of SK Inc., the group’s holding company, as part of an asset division following the finalized divorce of Roh Soh-yeong, a director at Art Center Nabi. The transaction is valued at roughly 944 billion won, matching the amount set by the court during a July retrial. Chey’s stake in SK Inc. will fall from 17.8% to 15.5%, and on a voting-rights basis from 23.9% to 20.8%. The sale is scheduled to be executed one month later and will be conducted off-market, including deals worth 544 billion won to strategic investors and some via PRS arrangements with securities firms. SK says the structure is designed not to affect management rights.
