Chedraui’s Q2 2026 slides highlighted margin gains despite sales headwinds, as the Mexican retailer reported results on July 23, 2026. The company posted earnings per share of $1.85 versus a Wall Street forecast of $1.99, and its shares traded at $86.94, up 0.71%, near the 52-week low of $86.00. Management pointed to operational execution and long-term strength while weaker demand and currency effects weighed on reported revenue. Total sales fell 3.9% year over year to MXN 71,035 million, largely due to a stronger peso with a 9.7% appreciation, while EBITDA margin improved 15 basis points to 9.0%. Gross margin rose 70 basis points to 24.8%, even as operating expenses increased to 15.8% from 15.3%, and net income declined 11.5% to MXN 1,825 million.
