Chick-fil-A's reign is over. See who is now the top fast food chain
Chick-fil-A’s reign in quick-service dining is over after the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) ranked Jersey Mike’s as the top chain. For the first time in more than a decade, Chick-fil-A was no longer the highest-rated quick-service restaurant, after an 11-year run. ACSI results based on 16,464 respondents displaced the chicken-focused chain, with Jersey Mike’s scoring 84 out of 100, edging Chick-fil-A by one point at 83. The report, published June 16, said U.S. restaurant sales in 2025 struggled to keep pace with inflation and that customers increasingly weigh consistency and perceived value. Jersey Mike’s added 238 net new locations in 2025 and posted $4.2 billion in sales. In category rankings, Chick-fil-A remained top for chicken. The ACSI also listed Jimmy John’s, Subway, and Arby’s among top sandwich chains, while Papa Johns and Pizza Hut tied for pizza.
