Christian Moore caps Angels' comeback with walk-off hit against Twins

Christian Moore delivered the walk-off moment for the Los Angeles Angels in their penultimate home game of a difficult season, beating the Minnesota Twins 6-5 in 11 innings on Saturday night at Anaheim, Calif. Trailing by three runs in the eighth, the Angels tied the game with a two-run rally that included an Adam Frazier pinch-hit double. Vaughn Grissom evened it again in the ninth with a one-out home run, his 12th of the year. In the 11th, with bases loaded and two outs, Moore—just entering the previous inning—hit a grounder that bounced off pitcher Taylor Rogers’ leg and rolled out of play for the winning run. Josh Lowe’s right-field out at the plate in the 10th helped set up the extra-inning comeback.
