Christmas market near London that's already announced 2026 opening

A German Christmas market near London has already been scheduled for late November 2026, with Guildford’s Guildhall set to become a festive shopping destination. The one-day event, run by the Guildford Twinning Association, will take place on Sunday, November 29, with doors open from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Attendance is free and the market is open to everyone. Visitors can browse Christmas gifts, toys and books, try German bakery items, and enjoy traditional Glühwein, plus a Tombola. The market is held annually to celebrate the friendship and civic links between Guildford and Freiburg im Breisgau, in its 21st year, and proceeds support cultural, sporting and educational exchanges. Guildford is about 30 minutes from London by train, according to the report.
