Cowherd Is Right: Jerry Jones Must Stop Going Cheap On Coaching

Dallas’ 24-16 loss to the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night at AT&T Stadium has reignited debate around owner Jerry Jones’ spending priorities, according to Colin Cowherd. Cowherd argues Jones invests heavily in players and assets but “goes cheap” on coaches, blaming that staffing pattern for the Cowboys’ struggles. After five games, Dallas stood 2-3 while Tampa Bay racked up 419 total yards, including 241 rushing, even without its starting quarterback. Cowherd says Jones prefers coaches who won’t challenge his control, pointing to Brian Schottenheimer’s 9-12-1 record.
