Crypto Rally: Bitcoin Nears $87,000 as Bull Market Makes a Comeback
Bitcoin is trading around $86,500 after gaining almost 14% in a week, moving back near its highest level since early January. It briefly touched $87,330 before hovering just below that mark. The rebound follows a drop to below $60,000 at the end of June and represents nearly a 50% rise since then. By finanzen.net, August was the strongest month since 2017, up 23%. Ethereum is also higher, near $2,750. The CoinMarketCap 20 Index has gained more than 15% over seven days, with lower-half large-cap tokens leading, especially NEAR (+91%), Uniswap (+66%) and Bitcoin Cash (+57%, including +30% daily). Institutional inflows into U.S. Bitcoin ETFs are cited as a key driver, with $999 million entering on Monday, and macro tailwinds from falling yields and oil prices.
