Death in Paradise favourite shares 'gritty' new role after BBC exit
Death in Paradise favourite shares “gritty” new role after BBC exit focuses on actor Ralf Little’s post-2024 move after leaving the BBC detective series. Little played DI Neville Parker for four years before departing, with Don Gilet later taking over as DI Mervin Wilson. He discussed his new venture on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, saying he has joined the stage adaptation of John le Carré’s novel The Spy Who Came In From The Cold. The actor described portraying British intelligence officer Alec Leamas in 1961, after the Berlin Wall is built, when the station chief tries to capture a counterpart in East Germany as agents are repeatedly discovered and eliminated. He said he wants “grittier and grimier” work and described the production as involving twists that challenge trust and belief. Sunday Brunch airs Sundays from 10am on Channel 4.
