xCruzo Brief
Expectations for Labor Day weekend travel are pushing investors to look at airline-linked exchange-traded funds, even as summer’s end brings sticker shock at the pump. The Transportation Security Administration expects to screen more than 17 million passengers during the holiday period. United Airlines plans to fly about 3.4 million travelers between Sept. 3 and 8, using 4,700 flights each day and peaking on Sept. 4 and Sept. 7. American Airlines projects 3.5 million passengers over the same dates, including nearly 500,000 through its Dallas-Fort Worth hub. AAA said domestic airfares are roughly 2% higher than Labor Day 2025, while gas is about $4.14 per gallon. The article highlights ETFs including JETS, PEZ and XTN.
