Hartlepool United: Pete Wild not expecting to sign new players

Hartlepool United manager Pete Wild said he does not expect to sign new players as the club tries to climb the National League standings. After back-to-back wins against Forest Green Rovers and Hornchurch, Hartlepool suffered a 3-1 defeat to AFC Fylde on Tuesday. The loss leaves them just above the relegation zone on goal difference. Wild told BBC Radio Tees that the market they are targeting typically involves players not featuring at their current clubs, but stated they would need to pay £50,000 to £100,000 to bring in someone different. He added they may rely on the young loan market only if needed and are focusing on getting more out of the squad. Hartlepool next play runaway leaders Boreham Wood on Saturday.
