It's a kind of magic! Queen's Market to mark first birthday with Queen tribute
Queen’s Market in Rhyl will mark its first birthday with a tribute night to rock legends Queen. The multi-million-pound food hall and market, which opened its doors last July, will celebrate one year since opening on Friday, July 10, starting at 7pm, with the event “Queens Alive.” Organisers say the tribute is free to attend and open to everyone, including families, and it will run all night with “amazing food,” “great drinks” and a party atmosphere. The longer redevelopment began with plans emerging in 2018 to rework former Queen’s buildings, including the Savoy Hotel and Fusion nightclub, and Denbighshire County Council acquired the derelict seafront site in 2019. The food hall opened to the public last July. Separately, Queen’s Market has applied to extend its alcohol licence, adding a small outdoor bar and allowing late-night refreshment both indoors and outdoors, with public comments due by July 9.
