Korean and Italian Producers Sign Co-Production Pact at Busan Market
The Producers Guild of Korea (PGK) and Italy’s CNA Cinema e Audiovisivo have signed a memorandum of understanding at the Busan International Film Festival’s Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) to build closer co-production ties. The agreement, signed at the Italian Pavilion, sets up exchange programs and a direct information channel on public funding available to producers in each country. PGK president Lee Dong-ha signed for the Korean side, while Francesco Lattarulo signed for CNA on behalf of national president Gianluca Curti. Under the MoU, both groups will host yearly meetings, showcases, and business-to-business sessions in Korea, Italy, and markets including ACFM and Rome’s MIA, aiming to turn the existing government framework into actual projects.
