Leeds Christmas market 2026 opening and closing dates revealed

Leeds City Council has announced the dates and key features for its Christmas market returning to City Square. This year’s market runs from 19 November, bringing back 60 vendors from across the region and adding two new bar areas. The 400-sq-m ice rink will also return, with daily sessions for adults and children. The council expects the market and other festive events to attract tens of thousands to the city centre, supported by around 200 Christmas trees lining the square. A new Elf Hunt trail will be aimed at kids, while a rotating selection of artisan traders will operate through cabins managed by Real Markets Yorkshire.
