LSEG agrees $3.54 billion Octus deal, lifts 2026 revenue, margin outlook By Investing.com
London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) agreed to acquire Octus, a provider of credit solutions, for $3.535 billion in cash, and lifted its full-year guidance for the second time this year. The group said strong third-quarter growth across its markets and data businesses supported the higher outlook; LSEG shares rose about 2% in early London trading. CEO David Schwimmer said the Octus acquisition adds proprietary solutions in illiquid and private credit, complementing LSEG’s existing liquid credit scale and the planned Trumid purchase. LSEG now expects 2026 organic constant-currency income growth of at least 8% (excluding recoveries), plus EBITDA margin expansion of 100 to 120 basis points. It also raised expected equity free cash flow to £2.8 billion or more.
