Major Capital Market Reform in FBiH: What do the New Laws bring?
The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is moving toward major capital market reform to align local rules with European Union standards and bring long-awaited updates to the regulatory framework. New draft laws covering the capital market and providers of services related to virtual assets and cryptocurrencies are in public discussion, alongside amendments to the Factoring Act to facilitate purchases of monetary claims. The process aims to advance the new entity laws through legal procedure in September. Federal Finance Minister Toni Kraljević said the reforms would create a modern, secure and competitive market, expand space for investment and strengthen investor protection. Regulators say cryptocurrencies will be supervised for the first time, while future provisions broaden asset classes beyond stocks and bonds.
