Market Open: Tech Stocks Rally as Nasdaq Jumps 1.25% | Sep 21st

Markets climbed broadly on Monday as easing oil prices and bond yields gave investors room to return to risk assets, particularly technology. The Nasdaq rose 1.25% and the Dow gained 0.16%, while Canada’s TSX slipped 0.09% and the TSX Venture Index fell 0.30%. Globally, the FTSE 100 advanced 0.96% as the rally extended. Bitcoin jumped 5.51%, testing the 82.000 dólares level for a third time. Analysts said tech valuations have not looked this cheap since the launch of ChatGPT, supporting the rebound as Treasury yields eased and an Asia chip rally boosted sentiment. Oil fell 2.03% and gold slipped 0.64%.
