Mathematical study proposes hesitant graph energy for business-location
A mathematical study proposes a degree-based graph framework to explicitly model uncertain expert preferences—described as true, false, or uncertain—using “hesitancy fuzzy graphs” rather than crisp yes-or-no inputs. Researchers extend Zagreb indices to this hesitancy setting, defining a first Zagreb index, a second Zagreb index, a hesitancy fuzzy Zagreb matrix, and a new spectral “hesitancy fuzzy Zagreb energy.” They also derive upper and lower bounds for the new quantities and illustrate the approach in a constructed business-location example. The model combines preference relations from four assessors evaluating five candidate sites. The authors stress the work is theoretical and method-focused, calling for testing with real-world datasets.
