Moller Capital agrees to acquire Mainstream Renewable Power South Africa

Moller Capital has agreed to acquire Mainstream Renewable Power South Africa, expanding its track record in energy infrastructure across Africa. The deal, via EMIF II and a special purpose vehicle, was announced June 17, 2026, with Copenhagen and Cape Town listed as the coordinating hubs. Mainstream South Africa operates 148 MW of operating and in-construction assets, a construction-ready portfolio of 351 MW, and a development pipeline of about 11.6 GW across solar, wind, and battery storage. The acquisition aims to scale operating assets, trading and O&M capabilities, pending regulatory and third-party approvals.
