Morrisons apologises as 'do not eat' warning issued due to crisp recall

Morrisons has apologised after a “do not eat” warning was issued for a crisps recall that could pose a health risk for some customers. The supermarket chain is recalling Morrisons Maple & Bacon Back of the Net crisps sold in 140g packs, following a Food Standards Agency (FSA) alert. The problem involves milk that may be present due to a packaging error, but is not listed on the label. The FSA says the best-before date is August 22, and anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk should not consume the product. Customers are instructed to return the affected crisps to the store for a full refund, with no receipt required. Morrisons stated that no other products are affected and issued point-of-sale notices explaining what to do.
