U.S. stocks rose Tuesday as several companies delivered stronger-than-expected results, helping offset concerns around inflation and higher interest rates. The Nasdaq edged down slightly by less than 0.1%, as continued swings in artificial-intelligence-related stocks persisted. Equifax surged 11.3% after reporting a bigger summer profit than analysts expected, and Hasbro rose 11.2% after Magic: The Gathering revenue topped $600 million in its latest quarter for the first time. 3M gained 5.8%.
