Florence-Firestone Businesses Revitalized Through LA County's Renovate Façade Improvement Program

Florence-Firestone benefited from a major façade renovation program aimed at reviving commercial corridors. The County invested a combined $336,730 in two Firestone Boulevard businesses, La Mexicana Meat Market and the 99¢ Store, under the RENOVATE Façade Improvement Program. These funds, financed through the County Economic Development Trust Fund and CDBG resources, aim to attract customers and strengthen community identity. The renovations are part of LA County’s effort to stimulate inclusive economic growth in high-traffic corridors. Mitchell credited the improvements with boosting foot traffic and supporting local families, while LoBianco emphasized enhanced storefront visibility for essential-goods retailers.
