Plans submitted for new industrial unit that could create 150 jobs
Plans submitted for a new industrial unit could create up to 150 jobs in the Bromsgrove district. IM Properties filed a planning application with Bromsgrove District Council for a 46,888 square-foot facility at Wythall Green, off Middle Lane in Wythall. The site sits next to Wythall Green Business Park and is about 10 miles south of Birmingham, near Junction 3 on the M42. The project aims to deliver direct and indirect employment while generating about £100,000 annually in business rates. Development director Lewis Payne said occupiers are seeking high-quality space and that the M42 Corridor market shows a shortage of units of this scale.
IM Properties notes Bromsgrove’s current undersupply of industrial space despite strong demand, with residents often commuting outside the district for work. The company has delivered major developments including Blythe Valley Park, Birch Coppice and Mercia Park, and previously secured a Jaguar Land Rover lease at Mercia Park. A Bromsgrove District Council decision will follow in due course.
