Nifty's 4% correction offers attractive entry point for long-term investors: Kotak Neo's Chouhan
Kotak Neo’s equity research head Shrikant Chouhan said the Nifty’s 4% correction has created an “attractive valuation reset” for investors targeting medium-to-long-term returns. Speaking to ANI on October 27 in Mumbai, Chouhan said the index has repeatedly tested key support levels and appears positioned despite ongoing global volatility. He pointed to support around the 22,200 mark and said a move above 22,800 could trigger a fast recovery toward 23,200. Chouhan attributed mid- and small-cap volatility to profit-taking in high-beta stocks tied to global events, including the U.S. Federal Reserve’s policy outcome and elections in Israel and the U.S. He cautioned about crude oil above 120 and said domestic earnings provide underlying stability, favoring private banking, defence and select pharma (CDMO).
