Nolan Wells' Mother Shares the Final Words She Heard From Her Son - Internewscast Journal
The mother of Nolan Wells shared the final words she heard from her son shortly before he was found dead on a Mississippi island this week. Wells was reported missing on Sunday morning after he did not return to the mainland following Fourth of July celebrations with friends. His body was recovered the next day on the northwestern end of Horn Island. Speaking at a New York City press conference on Friday, Christine Wonsley said Wells told her, “Hey, mom, I'm about to go, love you,” before hugging and kissing her as he left to stay overnight at a friend’s home. The family has retained civil rights attorney Ben Crump, while Mississippi police stated they do not currently suspect foul play and believe Wells may have drowned. Wonsley also said Wells’ phone showed no Snapchat photos, and the family is seeking a more thorough investigation, with police reviewing a video involving an alleged heated argument.
