Not eat' and 'stop using' warnings to shoppers at Asda, Tesco, Waitrose and more
UK supermarket and high-street shoppers, including Waitrose, Tesco and Asda, received warnings after multiple product recalls. The Food Standards Agency issued “do not eat” notices for foods that may pose health risks, while the Office for Product Safety and Standards told customers to “stop using” certain recalled items immediately. Waitrose issued a “do not eat” warning for 120g packs of Waitrose Essential Pitted Black Olives due to possible Listeria monocytogenes, with use-by dates of September 13, 18 and 27. A refund is offered via return to Waitrose. Boots recalled the Love to Dream Sleep Machine, warning overheating risk from lithium-ion batteries when used with specific charging devices; affected sales ran January 2, 2025 to September 3, 2026.
