Philly feds charge two with running a cryptocurrency money laundering scheme that tried to conceal nearly $400 million
Two men living in Batumi, Georgia, Igorevich Tkachuk, 37, and Alexander Ledenev, 25, were charged in Philadelphia with operating an international cryptocurrency-money-laundering scheme called AudiA6 that handled nearly $400 million. Prosecutors said the group ran Dark2Web and offered a mixing service to obscure origins; deposits totaled about $389 million, including roughly $20 million tied to illicit activity, with $10 million in profit. The suspects were arrested in Georgia, and Philadelphia seeks extradition to face charges.
Six undercover transactions between December 2022 and May 2026 demonstrated the scheme’s mechanics, with agents exchanging cryptocurrency and AudiA6 returning proceeds minus a commission; in one Philadelphia exchange, an agent asked about laundering stolen Bitcoin and the reply was that mixing was acceptable.
