S&P/TSX composite up more than 200 points, U.S. stock markets mixed

The S&P 500 added 12.51 points to 7,370.73, but the Nasdaq composite fell 130.06 points to 25,346.58. The Canadian dollar traded at 70.45 U.S. cents versus 70.25 U.S. cents on Wednesday. Oil and metals also moved higher, with August crude up $1.27 to $71.61 per barrel and August gold up $13.80 to $4,022.60 per ounce.
