Shein targeting up to £20bn valuation in September stock market float
Shein is targeting a valuation of up to $27 billion (around £19.6 billion) as it prepares for its long-awaited Hong Kong stock market debut next week. The pricing range set by the company values it between 202 billion and 210 billion HK dollars (about $26–$27 billion). The float, which comes after failed earlier attempts in New York and London due to political and regulatory scrutiny, follows plans dating back to 2023. In the listing notice released Monday, Shein said it will sell 280 million shares at 47.60 HK dollars to 49.50 HK dollars each, for an expected raise of up to 14 billion HK dollars (about $1.8 billion). The filing also says about 90% of shares will be available to overseas investors, and Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan are backing the IPO.
