Stocks in the U.S. climbed on Monday as investors recouped part of last week’s sell-off, led by tech and AI. The S&P 500 rose 0.5% after a third straight losing week, closing within 2.6% of its all-time high. The Dow gained 391 points, or 0.8%, and the Nasdaq was up 0.7% by 9:35 a.m. Eastern. Oil prices eased, with Brent crude down 5.9% to $106.65, as uncertainty over when the Iran war would allow normal energy operations continues. Iran said it plans to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and resume nuclear talks. Companies tied to fuel costs rose, including United, Southwest and Carnival.
