The lobbyist, the sealed envelope and the mystery 'wire me up' text

A key witness at NSW’s Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) Operation Rosny inquiry faced fresh scrutiny after text messages suggested he sought secret recording equipment ahead of meetings with political figures. Lobbyist Jeremy Greenwood appeared calm during his fifth day of evidence as counsel assisting Dr Peggy Dwyer, SC, continued examining his alleged role in a multimillion-dollar bribe involving disgraced property developer Jean Nassif. Dwyer revealed ICAC had obtained a message exchange where Greenwood asked private investigator Shane De Kauwe to “wire” him for sound at a meeting. Greenwood claimed it was a “silly” or “stupid” comment and denied that the meeting happened. Dwyer also questioned payments of $660,999 made by Greenwood’s lobbying firms Beckington and JPG Advisory to a company owned by Anita Perrottet.
