The stock market open on Labor Day? Does the post office deliver mail?
xCruzo Brief
Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 7, will pause trading and disrupt other services across the U.S. All major financial markets, including the New York Stock Exchange (DJIA), Nasdaq and bond markets, are closed, with trading resuming normally on Tuesday, Sept. 8. The U.S. Postal Service will not deliver mail, and all post office locations are closed, though customers can use usps.com for tasks like ordering stamps and managing services. FedEx will be off too, except for its premium Custom Critical shipments; FedEx Office stores follow modified hours by location. UPS also suspends pickup and delivery, except Express Critical, and banks are generally closed.
