Tom Hanks reveals when he and Toy Story 5 co-stars found out about Taylor Swift's soundtrack song
Tom Hanks says the Toy Story 5 cast learned about Taylor Swift’s soundtrack only on the night the song released. The 69-year-old actor voices Woody and said Swift recorded a track 'I Knew It, I Knew You' for the movie, and the cast was informed at nine o’clock that the song would drop. He noted there was no prior indication of a Swift tune in the film and joked that the setup felt ‘diabolical,’ with a brain trust keeping them in the dark. The film also stars Joan Cusack, Greta Lee, Conan O’Brien, Alan Cumming, and Bad Bunny, with Tim Allen voicing Buzz Lightyear. Hanks reflects on the responsibility of Woody across five films and recalls realizing that duty during Toy Story 2, while acknowledging that he and Allen rarely see each other on set today, only between recording sessions.
