Waitrose 'very sorry' after Christmas food mix-up on its website

Waitrose has apologized after a Christmas product error on its website involving the No.1 Yule Log Sausage Roll (0.85kg). The retailer launched the festive item for its Christmas 2025 range, and the product is set to return for Christmas 2026. Waitrose said the wrong image was shown online, after staff “mixed up” the Yule Log and Wreath imagery. The company has since updated the correct image and contacted customers affected. Separately, Waitrose has also issued recall warnings for multiple products: Gilbert’s Kosher Chopped Liver (250g) due to an undeclared wheat allergen, WR Tuna Pâté (115g) for an incorrect date code, and Essential Unsweetened Oat Drink (1L) for microbiological contamination risk and spoilage.
