Western Digital Q4 Earnings Call Highlights
Western Digital’s fiscal fourth-quarter results topped the top end of guidance, helped by strong demand for high-capacity hard drives and cloud storage growth tied to artificial intelligence workloads. For fiscal 2026, the company lifted revenue 36% to $12.9 billion, expanded gross margin by 970 basis points to 49.1%, and increased operating margin by 1,290 basis points to 37.3%, according to CFO Kris Sennesael. Non-GAAP earnings per share more than doubled to $10.22, while free cash flow reached $3.5 billion, a 27% free-cash-flow margin. In Q4, revenue rose 44% year over year to $3.75 billion; non-GAAP diluted EPS climbed 109% to $3.56. Cloud revenue was $3.3 billion (89% of total). CEO Irving Tan pointed to AI-related data creation and inference as long-term storage demand drivers.
