Why Salesforce Stock Is Soaring This Week

Salesforce shares are extending their August rally after strong results and guidance. From the end of July through last Friday’s close, the cloud software company’s stock gained 13.7%. Through 2:35 p.m. ET today, it was up 19.6% versus last Friday’s close, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence. The move follows expectations beating earnings and revenue in the latest report for Q2 2027: Salesforce posted $11.35 billion in sales versus the $11.32 billion analysts expected, and diluted EPS of $4.29 versus an estimate of $3.27. Management also raised fiscal 2027 guidance to $46.1–$46.4 billion revenue and $10.21–$10.25 diluted EPS. Jefferies lifted its price target to $300 from $250, while Raymond James raised it to $310 from $290.
