Winning Powerball ticket sold in Louisville. Jackpot reaches $1B

A Powerball ticket sold at a Kroger in Louisville won $150,000 in the Aug. 10 drawing, according to the Kentucky Lottery. The ticket matched four white balls and the Powerball, earning $50,000 before the Power Play tripled it using the 3x multiplier. No one won the jackpot in that drawing, and the prize has since increased to an estimated $1 billion for the next scheduled drawing. The next Powerball draw will be Aug. 12 just before 11 p.m. ET, with drawings held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET.
