Arizona State football players admit they are fans of soccer

C.J. Fite and Jalen Klemm, both Arizona State football players, say their soccer interest began during Big 12 Media Day in Dallas in July. The Sun Devils were at A&T Stadium with a press schedule that left an opening to watch Spain play Portugal, and the experience quickly changed their mindset. They later discussed the matchup with British media after practice at The Lensbury Hotel on Sept. 15. The players will next face Kansas on Sept. 19 at Wembley Stadium, the first college football game in the UK. Fite called it his first World Cup game, while Klemm has already picked Liverpool and Virgil van Dijk as favorites.
