Arkansas State earned its first win of the season with a lopsided 52-7 victory over West Georgia on Saturday night at Centennial Bank Stadium in Jonesboro. Entering as a heavy favorite, the Red Wolves put the game away in the second quarter, scoring 21 straight points to take control. After Memphis exposed their defense for 42 points last week, Arkansas State responded with a more complete effort, forcing four turnovers—two of them returned for touchdowns. Noah Flores returned a fumble 70 yards for a score before halftime, and Five Hamilton recorded a 91-yard interception return less than four minutes into the second half. Offensively, the running game produced 256 of 391 total yards, and Trey Owens went 13-for-17.
