Auburn basketball draws Will Wade, LSU twice as SEC opponents revealed
Auburn basketball’s SEC rivalry picture is sharpening as Will Wade, recently returned to LSU, is slated to face Steven Pearl’s Tigers twice this year. The matchups come after the Tigers beat Wade and NC State at Neville Arena during Pearl’s inaugural season. Auburn’s conference schedule for the 2026-27 campaign was announced Thursday, June 25, though specific dates, times and TV designations for the 18-game slate will be released later. LSU replaces Auburn’s prior home-and-away opponent, Arkansas, from last season’s rotation. Auburn will play Alabama and Ole Miss twice, and also takes on LSU twice, joining Alabama and Ole Miss in the “two games” category. The program’s remaining SEC matchups are determined by venue-based scheduling in the conference slate.
